Full Turnkey Project
2010 has seen a great start to trading. Acorn have now reached completion of the refurbishment of Bounty House in Diss for Midwich Ltd. This £800K project has seen Acorn install new glazed partitions and suspended ceilings over 2 floors together with the complete refurbishment of all the toilets and canteen area. A new heating and cooling system was installed as was data cabling, electrical distribution, server room and flooring throughout the building. The project took place over 10 weeks and the client has now moved to their new offices.
Cleanrooms
2009 saw our areas of expertise diversify as we successfully completed the refurbishment of a clean room at a Healthcare company in Thetford. The specification included PIR panel walls, high speed doors, specialist flooring and ceiling tiles and LED lighting. A new air handling plant was supplied using filtered air at positive pressure. This was not our first clean room project as we had successfully completed several in previous years for Tilomed Pharmaceuticals and Clinipol
Public area Seating
Auditorium seating was also one of our diversities as Acorn teamed up with a Management company in Cambridgeshire to complete the theatre style lecture facilities at The National Stud and The Animal Health Trust in Newmarket
Office Furniture
The centre of Norwich was where Acorn were appointed by charity organisation St Martins Housing Trust to complete the design and supply the furniture for their Under 1 Roof project. Acorn supplied the bespoke Reception counter and seating, mobile modular tables and chairs for the training room and meeting rooms. The I.T. learning area benefited from Storagewall and Power poles with variable height touchdowns. Manufacturers used in this project were: Allermuir, Elite Office Furniture, Silverline, Kite and Connection Seating.
2008 We have just completed a major refurbishment for a Thetford based healthcare company to the value of approximately £230K. This refurbishment was for a blue chip company and involved a complete turnkey project including furniture and seating.
We are also currently space planning and furnishing a refurbished listed building for WS Training in Bury St Edmunds for the reception, canteen and break out area, training room, chief executive and PA's office.
In Newmarket, we are designing and fitting out five new offices and a board room with new aesthetic, double glazed partitioning for Everlac. The space was formerly an open plan office. We are also providing two new canteen areas, server room, archive room, locker room and batch office with partitioning below a mezzanine floor.
We are currently collaborating with a Great Yarmouth based building firm to provide a turnkey office refurbishment for a major international offshore engineering company. These works will commence shortly with an approximate project value of £180K.
