Oxoid are an Ely-based healthcare research and development company. Working in such a sensitive industry, their clean rooms have to be constructed and fitted out to exceptional specifications that, in effect, make them into self contained, hygienic cells that can be cleaned to meticulously high standards.
Working to very tight conditions laid down by the client, Acorn designed and installed all the walls, ceilings, flooring, specialist glazing and bespoke doors, and completed with an antibacterial paint. All these works were integrated with an air handling and filtration system. The lighting to this area utilised sealed cleanroom light fittings.
